Shopping for Fall Clothes

Fall is my favorite time of the year. I absolutely adore walking in my neighborhood when the leaves on the trees begin changing colors. I also love shopping for warm clothes to wear when the weather turns chilly outside. During this time of the year, I typically wear thin, long-sleeved shirts, jeans, riding boots, and light jackets. My favorite types of jackets are ones made of denim and corduroy. When shopping for a fall wardrobe, I look for items in rich colors such as chocolate brown, maroon, and purple. On this blog, I hope you will discover ingenious, shopping tips to help you gain the new, fall wardrobe of your dreams. Enjoy!

A Homemade Hair Mask To Add Moisture And Shine To Your Dry Hair

Beauty & Fashion Blog

If you have dry, dull hair, you may wonder if there is a homemade treatment you can apply yourself to moisturize and add shine to your hair. If so, try this homemade hair mask to add life and bounce back to your locks.

What You Will Need

Before you begin, gather the supplies and ingredients listed below. If you have very long or thick hair, you may need to double the ingredient amounts.

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 cup of honey
  • A small microwavable bowl
  • A cheap, one-inch paintbrush with stiff bristles
  • A towel
  • A wide-toothed comb

About The Ingredients

The eggs in this hair mask have high levels of protein and cholesterol, both of which bind readily to your hair follicles. The protein helps promote healthy growth, while the cholesterol smooths the shaft of the hair to reduce frizziness.

As with the cholesterol, the olive oil keeps your frizzies away. The oil also gives your hair a healthy shine.

The honey in the mask provides a deep clean that helps wash away dirt and grime buildup. These can make your hair appear dull, so the honey helps restore your hair's natural shine.

Steps For Mixing And Applying The Hair Mask

After you have gathered your ingredients, follow the steps below to mix and apply your hair mask.

  1. In the microwavable bowl, heat the honey for about 30 seconds to one minute to make it thinner and easier to mix with the other ingredients.
  2. Remove the bowl from your microwave, and slowly stir in the olive oil.
  3. Add one egg at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Wash your hair as normal, and then dry it with a towel.
  5. Use the paint brush to apply a liberal amount of the treatment to your hair.
  6. Work the mask into your hair using the wide-toothed comb.
  7. Let the mask stay on your hair for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  8. Rinse your hair with warm water, combing it as your rinse to ensure you remove all of the residual hair mask.
  9. Wash your hair with a small amount of shampoo, and rinse thoroughly.
  10. Towel dry your hair, and then style as you normally do.

Using the above treatment once a week should give your hair a healthy, lustrous shine. However, if you have severely damaged dry hair, you may want to buy hair products online that can cater to your hair's problem.
