Shopping for Fall Clothes

Fall is my favorite time of the year. I absolutely adore walking in my neighborhood when the leaves on the trees begin changing colors. I also love shopping for warm clothes to wear when the weather turns chilly outside. During this time of the year, I typically wear thin, long-sleeved shirts, jeans, riding boots, and light jackets. My favorite types of jackets are ones made of denim and corduroy. When shopping for a fall wardrobe, I look for items in rich colors such as chocolate brown, maroon, and purple. On this blog, I hope you will discover ingenious, shopping tips to help you gain the new, fall wardrobe of your dreams. Enjoy!

Everything You Need To Know Before Visiting An Airbrush Tanning Salon For The First Time

Beauty & Fashion Blog

The big important days in your life are not the right time to trust home bronzing treatments or natural suntanning. Whether you want to tan for your wedding, prom, or another special occasion, the last thing you want to do is show up bright orange, sunburned, or peeling from a sunburn.

The secret to a risk-free, beautiful tan on your big day can be found in a trip to an airbrush tanning salon. Airbrush tanning gives you the most natural tan look, is safe, and takes under an hour for a professional artist to apply.

If you've never been to an airbrush tanning salon or have never heard of airbrush tanning, then here's everything you need to know to decide if it is suitable for your big day:

Airbrush Tanning Basics

As the name implies, airbrush tanning describes spraying a tanning solution with an artist's airbrush onto your body to create a beautiful tan. Regular spray tanning uses one color of tanning solution and sprays it all over your body. In contrast, airbrush tanning uses multiple spray heads and different paint tints to highlight specific areas of your body, just like natural tanning in the sun. The highlighting and low lighting accomplished by airbrush tanning give you a deep, flawless tan that looks like you have been basking in the sun all summer.

Airbrush Tanning Safety

If you are concerned with the safety of the airbrush tanning solution, you will be pleased to know that the active ingredient is dihydroxyacetone (DHA). DHA is made from natural sugars and is FDA approved for topical use because it does not absorb past the top layer of your skin. Although safe and made from natural ingredients, DHA should not get into your eyes or the mucous membranes of your nose and mouth. You should also wear a mask to avoid inhaling tanning solution into your lungs.

Airbrush Tan Maintenance

Once your airbrush tan has been applied, it is advisable that you wait many hours before taking a shower. This gives the DHA tanning solution plenty of time to absorb into the top layer of your skin and transform it into a beautiful tan color.

Finally, it would be best to wash off the excess spray tan solution before bed. After many hours, the tanning solution will no longer soak into your skin, and any remaining pigment can rub off and stain your sheets.
